ABOUT GYMPIE AERO CLUB

Our Gympie Aero Club is apolitical, non-discriminatory, non-religious, equal opportunity and member owned and driven organisation that welcomes all aviators through our doors and aerodrome. We are here to promote active aviation among our members and the local community with emphasis on safety and comradeship. We also facilitate ongoing learning, training and skills development and provide a social outlet to enable the harmonious joy of flying in a respectful environment to members and visitors.

YGYM is a daytime only, all weather airfield with asphalt 14/32 runway 1400m long and good grass 03/21 runway 596m long. CTAF 126.7

The club provides Mogas and Avgas with Visa and Mastercard. Visitors can utilize the Club’s tie-down line or the other airfield tie-downs. With tea, coffee and kitchen facilities, supported by our bar fridge, tables and chairs for meetings, briefings and training times, the Club welcomes visiting aviators.

Emergency, bad weather accommodation is available.

The Club’s Paradise aircraft is available for hire by members and visitors who have been checked out to fly it.
